To increase my practical understanding of the letterpress technnique I took this sentence, one of my favourite quotes from cinema. Within less than twenty words, the speaker evokes a deep love for the person it's addressed to, and I wanted to visualise the gravity of this sentence and the deep meaning of it.
By printing on a large scale, using the limited and vintage type available to so me Ilearned a lot about composition. Once the text had been set I selected the required amount of flourishes, borders and Printed on handmade A1 paper in black and red printing ink.
